Movie: The Impossible
Year Released: 2013
Starring: Naomi Watts, Ewan McGregor, Tom Holland
Plot: Family on vacation gets hit by tsunami wave, the movie is about what happens to them. (based on a true story)
Rating out of 5 :
Comments: I freaking LOVED this movie. I only knew Tom Holland as Spiderman and honestly watched it because he was in it And he, nor the movie did disappoint! The movie was real and raw, it made me uneasy at certain points, it made me cry a lot, but all of that in a good way. I probably won't watch it again because of those reasons though But if you haven't watched it yet, it's definitely worth a watch!

^^ Loved it!

Movie: National Treasure
Year Released: 2004
Starring: Nicolas Cage, Diane Kruger, Jon Voight, Justin Bartha, Sean Bean.
Plot: A historian races to find the legendary Templar Treasure before a team of mercenaries.
Rating out of 5 :
Comments: Nic Cage as Ben Gates is fun but Riley's jokes and off hand comments add to the comedic factor and I loved those moments.

Movie: National Treasure: Book of Secrets
Year Released: 2007
Starring: Nicolas Cage, Diane Kruger, Jon Voight, Justin Bartha, Ed Harris, Helen Mirren.
Plot: Benjamin Gates must follow a clue left in John Wilkes Booth's diary to prove his ancestor's innocence in the assassination of Abraham Lincoln.
Rating out of 5 :
Comments: I repeat....I know a third film is in the works but they can't seem to agree on a story/script and that's the main hold up.

Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events (2004)

Never read the books, so can't comment on how successful of an adaptation it is. But it's good as a stand-alone movie. It's an entertaining, endearing and pretty-to-look-at (very Tim-Burton-esque aesthetic) children's movie that adults can enjoy too.

Lady Bird (2017)

I went into it expecting to hate it because an American indie movie about adolescence hyped by pop culture critics just sound like something I wouldn't be into at all. It was nowhere near great, but it wasn't bad either. Just a super-overrated-but-decent coming-of-age story. I liked that the main character's self-actualization and relationships with her mom and best friend were more important than any of her romances. Also liked how the movie captured teen awkwardness. The class element of the story surprised me a bit because I missed it when I was scanning over plot summaries. It was a nice touch, but the movie still had absolutely nothing impressive, insightful or radical to say about class, just a "it kinda sucks being lower middle class" kind of thing. I'd be more forgiving of how mediocre the movie is if there weren't so many ppl out there writing articles and blog posts about it being a feminist cinematic masterpiece of a teen movie. It's not.

Red Sparrow is a really odd film and I can't decide whether I liked it or not.

I wish Matthias Schoenaerts had had a bigger role.

I loved the original Buffy movie with Kristy Swanson.

What is Instant Family about? When was it released?
